Park & Trails

Ascot Hills Park features a variety of hiking trails, scenic views, and opportunities to enjoy nature. The park includes a nursery that cultivates native plants and trees from seeds collected on-site. Additionally, it is home to LA's largest micro forest and serves as a venue for ongoing research conducted by students from Loyola Marymount University.

  • Ascot Hills Park Hiking Trails

Our scenic trails range in distance, elevation, and difficulty. We advise park visitors to stay on the trails to preserve our wildlife.

  • Ascot Hills Park Nursery

The Ascot Hills Park Nursery is run and operated by North East Trees. Seeds are collected on-site and grown at the nursery. The nursery offers workshops, volunteer events, and community advocacy.

  • Ascot Hills Park Micro Forest

The micro forest features 850 native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials planted on a south-facing slope in Ascot Hills Park in January 2024. Katherine Pakradouni, forest designer and micro forest advocate from Seed to Landscape, designed the 10,000-square foot micro forest.
